Journeying gains insights into life, its meaning and purpose.

Shamanism is the most ancient of spiritual practices. There are many shamanic traditions throughout our world. We shamans recognize body/mind/spirit connection and work with metaphors and archetypes found in our collective unconscious. As such, people of any religious background may benefit from this process of  Soul Recovery and Extraction.

The shamanic understanding is that as we go through our lives, we experience traumas thereby loosing pieces of our soul, (one could call them energy packets) thus causing ourselves distress and dis-ease.

Shamans are social lubricators of the dream world. We are messengers who travel between the worlds of being, the “real” and the spiritual. We are catalysts who are able to traverse the other worlds and spaces, bringing back lost pieces, or even wonderful gifts from the spirit world, which, if we then integrate these into our lives, will help us become more lucid, energetic, alive and happy.

The shaman has a guide who is a non-physical energy being willing to assist in this process of soul recovery and extraction. They have special skills or talents in journeying and extraction “surgery”. They act as an intermediary between any entities encountered and the shaman.

My work as a shaman is to recover these soul pieces that have split off, been trapped or stolen and return them to you, the client, to assist your restoration.

Working with my client, I create and hold a safe space in which to receive and integrate these fragile pieces. I act as a mirror, for the healing does not come from me, but from you, the recipient of the gifts and pieces that have been returned to you.

It is a process of Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World as in Kabbalah). As we restore ourselves, so we raise our frequencies. As we repair ourselves to wholeness, so we repair others. What we heal in ourselves, we heal in others.

My training is an exclusively heart-centered one, in contrast to the more sacral forms, and as such does not require cavorting around the fireside, or drugs to enable the work to be done. It uses heart intelligence to direct restorative or as it more commonly known, healing energy.

Testimonials

"Undergoing Soul Retrieval and Extraction with Lyn de la Motte was an important step on my personal journey. Lyn went into the recesses of my inner reality and found many essential pieces for me. One very important piece she returned was from someone else! This return allowed a healing in that relationship. Another piece was actually me, a piece of my self, stuck in an environment that induced terror and had been living in fear ever since. Lyn also found a crying baby that was to be returned to me. Was this the part of me that felt abandoned in my childhood home when my parents were too overwhelmed to meet my needs? Since having my Soul Retrieval and Extraction performed, I am feeling much more whole. I have been able to stop old, habitual thought patterns that kept me in a state of doom and gloom. I feel more likable and interact with people easier. It's been a wonderful stepping stone for me."

"It had been a dark and stormy night that had lasted over a year—all in my head of course—resulting in feelings of instability and a lack of creative drive. These are two aspects that I can’t have with regards to the creative work that I do.

I met Lyn through friends and soon enough I was lying on a massage table, ready to find the parts of myself I had lost along the way. Lyn’s space was warm and comfortable. She outlined the process and began her drum rhythms. Slowly I allowed myself into an alpha state. I felt half-awake, half-asleep. Throughout the journey, I went through a variety of emotions from crying and deep sadness to laughter. When she was done I felt that parts of my self had returned through the pieces she had brought back to me.

Lyn explained what she had seen and done. Most of my pieces she found I had lost as a child. Her diagnosis was spot on, exact! The following few days, I integrated them further and have been stable and creative since."
-- Cornelius Graafland.

"Lyn's shamanic journeys are a powerful catalyst for change. She has helped me to take the first steps on my own spiritual journey in a safe and understanding way."
-- David.
